Terms and Conditions

By engaging SafeBridge Family Services (“SafeBridge”), all parents, carers, legal representatives, and other relevant parties (“Clients”) agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, applicable service agreements, policies, procedures, and reasonable directions issued by SafeBridge.

1. Intake, Consent & Documentation

Services will not commence until SafeBridge has completed its intake and assessment process and received all required information and documentation. Clients must provide accurate and complete information, including relevant court orders, parenting arrangements, safety concerns, and other information that may affect the child’s wellbeing or service delivery.

Where services are arranged by mutual agreement, all relevant parties must provide informed consent and complete the required documentation before services commence.

2. Court Orders & Parenting Arrangements

Clients must provide SafeBridge with current and complete copies of all relevant court orders, parenting plans, agreements, or other applicable arrangements. SafeBridge will facilitate services based on the documentation provided and is not responsible for interpreting, enforcing, or resolving disputes concerning legal orders or parenting arrangements.

3. Child Safety & Best Interests

The safety, wellbeing, rights, and best interests of the child are SafeBridge’s primary considerations. SafeBridge may refuse, suspend, modify, or discontinue services where it reasonably considers that a child’s safety, wellbeing, or the safety of any person may be compromised.

4. Supervised Contact

Supervised contact is conducted by an assigned supervisor in accordance with SafeBridge procedures and any applicable court orders or agreed arrangements. Supervisors maintain a professional, impartial, and observational role and do not act as advocates for either parent.

Supervisors may intervene, redirect interactions, or end a session where necessary to maintain safety, comply with service requirements, or protect the child’s wellbeing.

5. Changeover Services

Changeovers are conducted in accordance with agreed arrangements, applicable orders, and SafeBridge procedures. Separate arrival and departure times may be allocated to minimise direct contact between parents. SafeBridge does not mediate parental disputes or determine parenting rights.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients must:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Comply with court orders, parenting arrangements, and SafeBridge procedures.

  • Follow reasonable directions given by SafeBridge staff.

  • Treat children, parents, carers, supervisors, and staff respectfully.

  • Notify SafeBridge promptly of any relevant change in circumstances or safety concerns.

  • Ensure children arrive appropriately prepared for scheduled visits.

Failure to comply may result in services being suspended, cancelled, or discontinued.

7. Cancellations, Missed Visits & Fees

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a scheduled service. Where insufficient notice is provided, a scheduled visit is missed, or a cancellation occurs outside the applicable cancellation period, the full service fee may be charged.

Additional charges may apply for services outside standard service areas, extended travel, report preparation, administrative requirements, or other agreed services.

8. Reports & Observations

Where requested or authorised, SafeBridge may prepare factual and objective observational reports based solely on information and observations available to the assigned supervisor. Reports are not intended to provide legal opinions, clinical assessments, diagnoses, or recommendations unless specifically within the scope of the service.

SafeBridge does not guarantee that a report will support the position or expectations of any party.

9. Privacy & Confidentiality

SafeBridge handles personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its privacy practices. Information may be disclosed where required or authorised by law, court order, consent, or where reasonably necessary to address a safety or child protection concern.

10. Safety, Conduct & Prohibited Behaviour

Threatening, abusive, intimidating, discriminatory, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour toward children, parents, carers, supervisors, staff, or other persons will not be tolerated.

SafeBridge may immediately suspend or terminate services where conduct creates or may create a safety risk or prevents services from being delivered appropriately.

Clients must not attend services under the influence of alcohol or drugs or bring prohibited items into the service environment.

11. Supervisor Allocation & Availability

SafeBridge will allocate supervisors based on availability, suitability, location, and the requirements of each matter. While continuity is preferred, SafeBridge cannot guarantee that the same supervisor will be available for every visit.

Services may be rescheduled where a supervisor becomes unavailable due to illness, emergency, unforeseen circumstances, or other operational reasons.

12. Third-Party Involvement

The participation of grandparents, relatives, carers, or other persons is subject to prior approval, relevant court orders or parenting arrangements, and SafeBridge’s assessment of suitability and safety.

13. Service Limitations

SafeBridge provides supervised family contact, changeover facilitation, and related services within the scope agreed with the Client. SafeBridge does not provide legal advice, legal representation, psychological treatment, medical services, or emergency intervention.

Clients should obtain independent legal or professional advice where required.

14. Suspension or Termination of Services

SafeBridge may suspend or terminate services where:

  • A Client fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

  • Required consent or documentation is withdrawn or unavailable.

  • A court order or relevant arrangement changes.

  • Safety concerns arise.

  • Fees remain unpaid.

  • Service delivery is no longer reasonably practicable or appropriate.

Where reasonably possible, SafeBridge will provide notice of any suspension or termination.

15. Acknowledgement & Acceptance

By submitting an application, signing a service agreement, booking a service, or otherwise engaging SafeBridge Family Services, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and applicable SafeBridge policies and procedures.

These Terms and Conditions do not override or replace any applicable court order. Where a conflict arises, SafeBridge will seek appropriate clarification and act in accordance with its legal obligations and applicable orders.

SafeBridge Family Services reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions where reasonably required. The current version will apply to services provided from the date of implementation 24/07/2026.
